Fort Liard Community Details

Fort Liard (Echaot'l Koe - “people from the land of the giants”) is nestled in a pretty valley at the junction of the Liard and Petitot rivers. Fort Liard is famous for birchbark baskets, so beautifully crafted that they're considered works of art. It’s also considered the “Tropics of the Territories”.
